Looking for a small bit of advice for my hen night? I'm getting married in Italy, with 70 guests, and would like to also go away for my hen night. I know I'm getting married away so I don't want to put too much expense on my guests. Any ideas?

Italian Wedding

If you are going away and want to keep costs down, it is best to rent an apartment. That way you can spread the costs out between everyone and bring food, wine etc and have a few drinks getting ready. You could also get a take away to save on expensive meals. How about having an Ann Summers party, renting a Karaoke machine and staying in.

He.

Try The Wineport, very classy and near enough to Athlone if you want late and wild. John Cook

Don't do it!

As I said in another post - it's already expensive for them to go away for wedding, don't ask them to go away for hen too!

Hi there, keeping the costs

Hi there, keeping the costs down and having the hen party at home would be the honourable thing to do really.  Or if all your guests are in Italy a day or two before the wedding, why not have a girls night out/hen party over there.  You can be guaranteed a meal out and lots of drinks will be much cheaper than anywhere in Ireland.

What's wrong with Irish hen night?!

If you're getting married abroad, it's so unfair to want a hen weekend abroad as well.  What's wrong with having a hen night in Ireland.

I agree with AirinDawn in that you should have a night out with the gals a few nights before the wedding.  It'll save you and your guests heaps of money.

My advice is don't put pressure on yourself and your friends to go abroad for a hen weekend.
